Triftalp

The Triftalp is an Alpine hamlet in the Swiss canton of Valais . It is located at 2090  m above sea level. M. between Saas-Grund and the Kreuzboden mountain station .

chapel

The small chapel, consecrated to St. Anthony , the monk's father , was built in 1939 and restored in 1988. His statue stands in the center of the small altar. The chapel is owned by the parish of St. Bartholomäus Saas-Grund . The chapel is the focus of an open-air supplication service for the Alp monastery , which usually takes place on the first Saturday of July on the Alp Trift.

The Triftalp is a popular destination in summer and is located on the Alpine flower promenade . The Triftalp mountain restaurant is five minutes below the Triftalp .

In winter, a ski slope leads past the alp. The intermediate station of the gondola lift to the Kreuzboden, which is only served in winter, is a short distance from the Alp.
