The trough peak is a 748 m high mountain in the southeast of Adelaide Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises west of Sunshine Glacier at the western end of Stokes Peaks .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2011. It is named after a sled dog team that the British Antarctic Survey used in the 1980s and 1990s.
