Tropical cyclone Alma
The name Alma has been used for eleven tropical cyclones:
- Atlantic Ocean
- Tropical storm Alma (1958), which hit Central America, see 1958 Atlantic Hurricane Season ;
- Hurricane Alma (1962), which hit North Carolina as a tropical storm and then moved to sea, see 1962 Atlantic Hurricane Season ;
- Hurricane Alma (1966) , which hit primarily Honduras and Cuba;
- Hurricane Alma (1970), one of only three hurricanes in May in the 20th century, see 1970 Atlantic hurricane season ;
- Tropical storm Alma 1974, a tropical storm that caused the crash of an airplane with 47 casualties in South America, see 1974 Atlantic hurricane season
- eastern pacific ocean
- Tropical storm Alma (1984), which had no land impact, see Pacific hurricane season 1984 ;
- Hurricane Alma (1990), the earliest recorded hurricane in the Pacific, see 1990 Pacific Hurricane Season ;
- Hurricane Alma (1996) , which hit Mexico, killing three people;
- 2002 hurricane Alma, which had no impact on land, see 2002 Pacific Hurricane Season ;
- Tropical Storm Alma (2008), the first observed tropical storm to hit the Pacific coast of Nicaragua
