Tswana beef

The Tswana beef is a breed of cattle from Botswana . Like the Barotse beef and the Tuli beef, it belongs to the Sanga type of cattle. The breed of cattle was introduced by the Tswana when they first settled in Botswana country in the early 19th century, and displaced other breeds of cattle in the area.

His coat color is either monochrome black or multicolored, mostly red-spotted, rarely black-spotted.

In addition to Botswana, the breed is also found in South Africa . The animals are very well adapted to hot, dry climates and have good resistance to ticks.

In their areas of origin, the Tswana are also called Bechuana, Sechuana, Setswana, Batawana, Mangwato, Sengologa or Seshaga.
