history

Today's gymnastics and sports club Rosenberg was created in 1945 from the two previous clubs founded in 1911 as the gymnastics club Rosenberg and in 1922 as the Rosenberg football club .

successes

The greatest success in the club's history in men's football was reaching the first main round in the DFB Cup in the 1977/78 season. There the team lost to MSV Duisburg 1:11 (0: 4) in front of 6,000 spectators in the Rosenberg Friedrich-Flick-Stadion on July 30, 1977 .
