The tower hill Winkl is a late medieval moated castle of the type of a tower hill castle (Motte) on the northwestern outskirts of Winkl near Grabenstätt , west of the road to Grabenstätt in the Traunstein district in Bavaria .

The tower hill with a moat is still preserved from the former moth enclosure , around which a second moat is in front on three sides. Today the site is registered as a ground monument D-1-8141-0034 "Wasserburgstall of the late Middle Ages and the early modern times (" Sitz Winkl ")" by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation .

Immediately to the south is the early modern Winkl Castle .
