background

With the coal for coal campaign between 2000 and 2004, the Geuer Gallery, together with the Sparkasse Neuss' Foundation for Culture and Promotion, were able to win over numerous well-known artists for projects in and around Grevenbroich. In addition to James Rizzi, Otmar Alt and Stefan Szczesny, Prof. Ernst Fuchs also took part in the campaign, which brought numerous visitors from all over Germany to Grevenbroich.

As a lasting reminder of this action, Otmar Alt's tower hangover was placed in the roundabout between the Sparkasse building and the district building in Grevenbroich.
