Conversion ban

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rebuilding ban is a technical term used in the railway industry and denotes a ban on changing the interior of a signal box .

It is pronounced by the infrastructure operator and is valid for a certain period of time or until further notice. The reasons are usually safety reasons, as existing cables have become porous or the system no longer corresponds to the state of the art. In the event of a renovation ban, a new signal box is usually already planned to compensate for this and implemented in the foreseeable future.
