University of Chicago Law School

The University of Chicago Law School is a US private law school in Chicago . It is part of the University of Chicago .

It was founded in 1902 at the instigation of William Rainey Harper , the first President of the University of Chicago, and began operations with five faculty members and 78 students. The first dean was Joseph Henry Beale .

Well-known buildings include the 1950s administration building and the D'Angelo Law Library, designed by Eero Saarinen .

Today (as of 2018) the faculty is headed by Thomas J. Miles.
