Uralbomber

Uralbomber was the name given to the project of a long-range bomber of the German Air Force as part of the armament of the Wehrmacht at the time of National Socialism . Due to its long range, the aircraft should be able to penetrate deep into enemy territory ("as far as the Urals ").

The term was used to refer to two types of four-engine aircraft:

Another development order seems to have gone to the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke (in the audited annual accounts for 1937 an amount for the construction of a dummy appeared). The designation Bf 165 was given by the Reich Aviation Ministry .
