from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Urs "Ursepio" Rohrer (* 1977 in Basel ) is a Swiss juggler .

Rohrer spent his childhood in Rheinfelden (CH). After a short apprenticeship as a surveyor, he devoted himself fully to the art of juggling and achieved not only regional but also national fame. Urs Rohrer, who calls himself "Clown juggler Ursepio", is one of the best Swiss jugglers. Even as a child he juggled tennis balls, rings and clubs. He later attended the Ilg circus school in Zurich, where he was trained under the direction of Jacky Lupescu-Knie. At the age of 16 he specialized in volleyballs, with which he set an unofficial world record in Rheinfelden (CH) in 1998 by juggling 7 volleyballs for 5 seconds. He used a strap that he tied around his stomach and was able to hold the two remaining volleyballs. With the other five he juggled normally at first, then threw them higher, grabbed the two volleyballs, juggled so on and caught all 7 balls again.
