Völkisch social block

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Völkisch Social Block was the name of a National Socialist electoral list that ran for the 1927 regional elections in Carinthia . While the National Socialists of the Schulz movement ran for candidates in a unified list with the Greater German People's Party and the Christian Social Party , the " NSDAP Hitler Movement" loyal to Hitler joined the "Völkisch-Social Movement" of the Graz writer Hans Kipper as the "Völkisch-Sozialer Block (Kipper Party)" State elections. The Völkisch Social Block achieved around 3% of the votes in the 1927 state elections, as well as a state parliament mandate that was awarded to Severin Janschütz . The leader of the NSDAP Schulz movement, Alois Michner , however, entered the state parliament through a mandate from the unified list. In 1929 the two wings of the NSDAP made peace and Michner subsequently joined the NSDAP Hitler movement.

In addition to the state elections in 1927, the Völkisch Social Block also ran for the National Council election in Austria in 1927 , but clearly failed with 26,991 votes and 0.74% of the votes.

The Völkisch -Soziale bloc in Austria is not to be confused with various electoral lists of the Völkisch-Soziale bloc  and the National Socialist Freedom Party or National Socialist Freedom Movement in the German Reich.
