VR-NetKey

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The VR-NetKey is a personal identifier for online banking at Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken in the business area of Fiducia & GAD IT AG.

As an authorization medium, the VR-NetKey replaced the previously established PIN / TAN procedure at the beginning of 2005 . With the classic PIN / TAN procedure, the access identification ( PIN ) and transaction numbers (TANs) were related to the account to be managed. In contrast, the VR-NetKey is personal. It can be used to manage all accounts that are assigned to the VR-NetKey. These can be bank accounts in which the VR-NetKey holder is the sole account holder, but also all accounts for which the VR-NetKey holder has power of attorney, e.g. joint accounts or company accounts.

The VR-NetKey is issued as a 5 to 11-digit numeric key. However, the VR-NetKey holder can assign an alphanumeric 7- to 35-digit alias to this. The classic TAN list as well as the iTAN , the mobileTAN and the sm @ rt TAN process are used as TAN processes , although the TAN list and the iTAN process are no longer offered.
