The Voetbalvereniging Appingedam is a 1919 Appingedammer Voetbal Vereniging established Dutch amateur football club from Appingedam in the province of Groningen . The club's first team plays in the Saturday division of the Derde class , the sixth highest amateur league in the Netherlands. A VV Appingedam team reached the first round of the KNVB Cup three times as cup winners for the Noord football district , namely in 1981 , 1993 and 1999 .
