Vegueria Francesa
Antiga Vegueria Francesa is a historic house in Andorra la Vella in the Principality of Andorra . It is registered as a cultural heritage in the Andorra Monuments List under Nº 97.
The house, consisting of the ground floor and three upper floors, was built in 1930 as the administrative headquarters and served as the so-called Vegueria Francesa (French magistrate) for the President of the French Republic in Andorra. The material used on the facade side is granite stone in the form of irregularly arranged honeycombs in the typical Andorran granite architecture. The large arcs de mig punt built as an arc on the ground floor correspond to the construction of Roman architecture .
Since the introduction of the Andorran constitution in 1993, this building has been used as a residential and commercial building.
