Vengeance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vengeance is a Dutch rock band around singer Leon Geowie that was founded in 1982. Above all, it is characterized by a very positive approach to life. In 1984 Vengeance was discovered by Derk Joling , the then A&R manager of CBS Records , at a concert and signed. The first album and especially the first single brought the band nationwide success.

Despite happy optimism, there were arguments within the band and so they broke up for the first time in 1989. They later got back together, but Leon Geowie left the band again and with his successor Ian Perry Vengeance could not build on the old successes.

Reunion

In 2006 Vengeance got back together and recorded Back in the Ring, their first album in nine years. On the following tour they played, among other things, at the Balingen " Bang Your Head " festival. A live album was also recorded during the tour, which was released in 2007. Soul Collector was released in early 2009 .
