Aurich District Transport Association

The Aurich District Transport Association (VLA) was dissolved on December 31, 2005.

The Aurich District Transport Association was an amalgamation of several bus companies that ensure local public transport in the Aurich district. Since the city of Aurich is not connected to the rail network of Deutsche Bahn , the residents are dependent on the bus connections of the VLA. The VLA is a member of the Ems-Jade transport association .

The VLA was founded in 1988. At the moment 44 lines are served on a distance of approx. 1000 kilometers. The VLA owns 100 buses and has now rents additional buses. 9 million passengers are carried annually.
