This laying method is related to bracing .

Full-surface Velcro fastening

In the object area (in accordance with DIN and VOB ), a Velcro film is applied over the entire surface of the ready-to-install substrate and the covering is attached directly to the Velcro tape with a special backing. This method was developed by Vorwerk .

Velcro fastening

In the living area, a self-adhesive Velcro tape approx. 8 cm wide is stuck around the edge area. Using a special tensioning device with limited tensile force, the floor covering is stretched and applied to the Velcro tape.

Adhesive film instead of Velcro

Another drying system for fastening floor coverings works in a similar manner. Adhesive tape (e.g. from the Siga brand) applied over the entire surface is applied to the substrate that is ready to be laid.

This tape with a width of approx. 75 cm is a perforated carrier film with adhesive systems applied on both sides. The underside has a lower adhesive strength than the upper side, in order to keep the adhesive material on the floor when the covering is removed and to detach the adhesive tape from the substrate without leaving any residue. This system is e.g. It is highly recommended, for example, in rented apartments, as damp-bonded floor coverings are often very firm and can almost never be removed from the substrate without leaving any residue or damage.
