Experimental pool
An experimental pool is a pool filled with a liquid (often water) in which tests or experiments are carried out. In aquaristics , such a tank is called an aquarium .
There are large pools in which currents and / or waves can be created in a targeted manner; they serve the study of fluid dynamics (= fluid dynamics). In them, ship models of various scales are exposed to currents ( Ship model basin ); one observes or measures their water resistance.
