Vertical frequency

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The vertical frequency is the vertical refresh rate for tubes screens on.

The European PAL television, for example, is designed for a frame rate of 25 Hz . the interlaced process doubles the perceived frequency to 50 Hz. In order to be able to reproduce an ergonomic and flicker-free image, a frequency of at least 70 Hz is required, whereby the perception of the flicker is felt differently between different viewers. Most computer monitors and televisions with 100 Hz technology have exceeded this benchmark since the mid-1990s .
