The Villa Pegau is located at Kaiserstraße 151 in Wetter an der Ruhr . On September 25, 1991, it was added to Wetter's list of monuments under monument number 30.

history

The villa was built around 1914 for the entrepreneur Carl Bönnhoff, who operated the Bönnhoff manufacturing facilities in Wetter. His son-in-law Pegau lived in this building.

After the Second World War , the British Army on the Rhine , which maintained tank workshops in Wetter, used the villa as an officers' mess .

After the British Army of the Rhine withdrew from Wetter in 1989, the property was privately owned and was also used as a place of business at times.

The villa has been owned by new private investors since 2011. After extensive restoration, it has been called Villa Vera since the beginning of 2014 . Various events take place in it, and it is also rented out as a venue for private celebrations.
