Villa Putsch

The Villa Putsch is a villa built in 1933 in the Bergisch New Baroque style on Herichhauser Straße in Wuppertal-Cronenberg . The large and richly curved gable is characteristic . The villa was the home of the family of the factory owner Carl Putsch, at the time co-owner and manager of the pliers factory now known as Knipex -Werk.

The architect of the villa was Hermann Propach . The " Westdeutsche Zeitung " reported after completion:

Propach literally composed old here. No detail of the old models was left out: a wonderful hallway, the arched Goethe panes in the 24-split windows, the double chimneys that tower over the sedate slate roof like a crown, the stylish portal. Even the rain gutters serve as style elements. "
