Folk song tone

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A poem is written in the tone of a folk song if there is a three-part iambus with interrupted rhyme . The tone of the folk song goes back to the Romantics , who believed they found the original folk song in it. Typical of the romantic folk song is not only the use of certain forms, but also certain motifs and themes, some of which are based on traditional folk song poetry, but also on romantic motifs and preferences.
