Vulcan.NET

Vulcan.NET is a programming language of the xBase language family developed by GrafXSoft . From the xBase point of view, it represents the next version of Visual Objects 2.8, an object-oriented programming language for 32-bit Windows platforms, with which it is syntactically and semantically largely compatible.

Vulcan.NET meets the Common Language Specification and supports, for example, the overloading of methods and operators, strictly typed arrays, pointer operations at the lowest level and much more

As a .NET language, Vulcan.NET is fully integrated into the integrated development environment Visual Studio and its programming tools.

Versions

  • The pre-release of Vulcan.NET was released on July 31, 2007.
  • Version 1.0 was released on December 4, 2007.
  • Version 2.0 was released on July 14, 2010 initially only for VOPS members and on August 23, 2010 for the general public.
  • Version 3.0 was released on August 13, 2013.
  • The current version 4.0 was released on September 9, 2015.
