Laundry disposal system
Laundry discharge systems are used to be able to transport dirty laundry from individual floors of a building directly into the washroom. Paper and garbage disposal systems work in a similar way. Basically, one can differentiate between laundry drop systems for private houses and those for the commercial sector (hospitals, old people's homes, hotels). Laundry chute systems in the private sector are primarily used for the convenience of not having to carry dirty laundry over one or more floors to the washing machine. Laundry discharge systems in the commercial sector are useful for several reasons:
- In hotels , the laundry on a floor can be collected and discarded at one point. The elevator does not have to be used. This reduces the maintenance costs for elevators.
- In old people's homes or hospitals , soiled laundry can be transported away hygienically. The laundry chute can be equipped with disinfection systems for this purpose. In addition, fire extinguishing equipment or fire-retardant drop-in doors (T30 or T90) can be installed.
