WTS Global is an association of tax consulting companies whose sub-companies operate worldwide. Although WTS Global is based in the Netherlands, the group of companies has German roots. WTS was created in 1999 through the spin-off of the tax department of the Siemens group. Part of the Mannesmann tax department was later merged into WTS. In 2003 the international network WTS Global was founded.

WTS customers include companies of all sizes, including multinational companies and small and medium-sized companies. Private individuals and family offices are also served by WTS. In contrast to the largest tax consultancy firms (namely the Big Four ), WTS does not carry out an audit , but focuses on tax advice.

WTS Germany

In Germany, the WTS Group is represented by the WTS Group Aktiengesellschaft Steuerberatungsgesellschaft based in Munich. The German subsidiary continues to have locations in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Erlangen, Frankfurt / Main, Hamburg, Kolbermoor, Cologne, Regensburg and Stuttgart. In 2017 WTS Germany took over the Stuttgart financial advisor FAS AG. In the consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018, the German company reported sales of around EUR 133 million. During this period, 799 people were employed in Germany. In rankings, WTS Deutschland is regularly among the ten largest tax consultancy companies in Germany (measured in terms of turnover).

Since January 2019 Georg Fahrenschon has been employed as "Director and General Representative" at WTS. In his position, Fahrenschon is to build alliances with other consulting firms, private equity and venture capital companies. Georg Fahrenschon was formerly the Bavarian State Minister of Finance and President of the Sparkasse. He has a criminal record for tax evasion .
