WWW2

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WWW2 and WWW3 are host names or subdomains that are normally used to address a number of closely related websites within a domain and to redirect them to certain content on the website, e.g. B. www.beispiel.de, www2.beispiel.de or www3.beispiel.de.

Addressing can be continued with additional numbers: WWW4, WWW5, WWW6, etc. Such websites are often located on other servers in order to balance the server load.
