Wacky WallWalker

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wacky WallWalker was a toy that was marketed worldwide from 1983. It is a small, sticky rubber figure made of elastomer in the shape of an octopus . If it is thrown against a smooth wall surface, it slowly "runs" downwards with its eight arms, and does so in different ways.

Ken Hakuta ("Dr. Fad"), inventor and presenter, acquired the rights for North America and initially only marketed it on a small scale in Washington DC. Later, a total of more than 320 million copies were sold.

In 1985 Hakuta stopped manufacturing in its own Tradex Corp. and later decided to collaborate with the Kellogg Company , in whose products the figures appeared from 1991.
