Car lubricator

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wagenschmiermann is a historic profession. He sold off the pitch huts dating axle grease . This was tapped from barrels that were loaded onto carts or wheelbarrows, with a vessel hanging on the barrel serving as a measuring device. The sticky tar settled not only on clothing, but also on the hands and face, making the car greasers shine.

The wagon greasers went through the country and called attention to themselves.
