Warcisław oak
The Warcisław oak [ var'ʨiswaf- ] is an English oak , which in Kolberger Forest on the road no. 11 in the town Ustronie Morskie , about 15 km south-east of Kolobrzeg (Kolberg) in Poland is growing.
Namesake is Wartislaw III. , Duke of Pomerania in the 13th century .
At 640 years old, the Warcisław oak ranks fifth among the oldest oaks in Poland. It reaches a height of 30 m, a crown width of 15 m and a trunk circumference of 616 cm at a height of 1.30 m. An even older oak, the 800-year-old Bolesław oak, was located nearby until 2016 . A blue hiking trail that starts at the Bagicz railway station leads to the oaks .
