The warm sector is the area between the warm and cold front in a low pressure area . It is characterized by a consistently low temperature rise or pressure drop from the warm to the cold front, and generally by comparatively high temperatures. Since the cold front spreads faster than the warm front, the warm sector becomes smaller and smaller, which ultimately leads to an occlusion .
