Warren Isbell Lee (born February 5, 1876 in Bartlett , New York , † December 25, 1955 in Brooklyn , New York) was an American lawyer and politician . Between 1921 and 1923 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Warren Isbell Lee attended public schools. He graduated from Colgate Academy in Hamilton in 1894, from Hamilton College in Clinton in 1899 and from New York Law School in New York City in 1901 . He was admitted to the bar in 1901 and then began practicing in New York City. Between 1906 and 1910 and in 1920 he was a member of the New York State Assembly . Between 1912 and 1914 he served as a deputy district attorney. He then worked as a First Deputy Comptroller in New York between 1914 and 1917 . Between 1917 and 1919 he was one of the counsel in the Public Service Commission in New York. Politically, he belonged to the Republican Party . He participated in the Republican State Conventions in 1920, 1922, 1924 and 1927 . He was also a trustee at Hamilton College between 1917 and 1921 .

In the 1920 congressional election , Lee was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the sixth constituency of New York , where he succeeded Frederick W. Rowe on March 4, 1921 . In 1922 he was defeated in his re-election bid and was eliminated from the after March 3, 1923 Congress of.

Then he went back to his activity as a lawyer. Lee was a director of Flatbush National Bank . He died on December 25, 1955 in Brooklyn and was buried there in Green-Wood Cemetery .
