Grant Thornton International Ltd. with headquarters in London is a non-profit organization and only serves as an umbrella company for the operationally active member companies. Grant Thornton International was founded in 1980. All members of the network together employ 53,000 people in 130 countries and achieved sales of 5.45 billion US dollars in 2018.

In Germany, the consulting company Warth & Klein Grant Thornton acts as part of the network. Warth & Klein joined the network in 2000 and is now the only member company in Germany.
