Zabrze water tower
The water tower in Zabrze at ulica Jana Zamojskiego 2 in the former Hindenburg (Upper Silesia) was built between 1909 and 1911 according to plans by the architect August Kind and the town planning officer Friedrich Loose.
The 46-meter-high water tank stands on eight corner pillars and a central pillar. It is covered with a mansard roof topped by a lantern . The lower floors originally housed offices and apartments.
Some time ago the city of Zabrze planned to set up a museum in the building, but now loft apartments are to be built.
