That between 4000 and 2500 BC Chr. In the Neolithic built Wedge Tomb of Breastagh ( Irish Bréisteach ) is located approximately 500 meters north of Oghamstein of Breastagh and south of Carrowmore ( Irish Cearthru Mhor ), north of Killala ( Irish Cill Ala ) in County Mayo in Ireland . These and the few remains of a fairly large Wedge Tombs similar to the much smaller, nearby Wedge Tomb of Rathfran . Wedge Tombs ( German  "wedge tombs" ), formerly "wedge-shaped gallery grave" called, are double-walled, seamless, mostly unarticulated megalithic of the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age .

The north-east-south-west oriented Wedge Tomb consists of the remains of the two side gallery walls. The south wall is about 7.0 m long and consists of seven stones that decrease in height from 1.6 m in the west to 1.0 m in the east. Outside the gallery are six 1.5 to 0.6 m high stones that belong to the outer wall. On the north side only three stones remained in situ . A 0.6 m high facade stone is in the southwest and the entire structure is in the middle of a low hill.

Nearby are the Breastagh Ogham Stone, a national monument, and the Foghill Menhir .
