The heavily glaciated weißkamm carries with White Ball ( 3738 m above sea level. A. ) and Wildspitze ( 3768 m above sea level. A. ), the two highest peaks of the Oetztal Alps . Starting from the Weißkugel (or the Hochjoch ), it extends about 20 kilometers to the northeast in the direction of Sölden . The Glockturmkamm , the Kaunergrat and the Geigenkamm branch off from the Weißkamm to the north from west to east . Directly at the Weißkugel, the Planeiler Mountains , which later strive to the southwest, branch off to the west ; to the south the Schnalskamm dissolves here , which strikes eastwards from the inner source tip , where the Saldurkamm branches off.
With the Gepatsch and Mittelbergferner , the two largest glacier areas in the Ötztal Alps can be found in the Weisskamm area. With the Kesselwand , Vernagt and Taschachferner they form an almost closed ice cover.
Other important peaks of the Weißkamm are the Fluchtkogel ( 3494 m above sea level ), the Hochvernagtspitze ( 3535 m above sea level ), the Hintere Brunnenkogel ( 3438 m above sea level ) and the Hintere Brochkogel ( 3623 m above sea level). ) [all heights] .
