Wenebojo

Wenebojo , also Manabush , is a cultural hero of the Anishinabe , a North American Indian tribe . Legend has it that it was formed from a clot of blood from an elk that an old woman hid in her mitten. According to another legend, his grandmother is the earth. His younger brother is a wolf.

After his birth, he brought many good things to the Indians such as corn , tobacco , medicinal herbs and the fire. He saves from the storm, but also appears as a trickster .
