Justification of value

Under Value Reason (also value influence ) are understood in accounting the requirement that in the financial statements information about matters that only after the balance sheet date have occurred that may not be included in this. The justification of value is one of the principles of proper accounting .

While a printer manufacturer was still preparing the 2005 balance sheet on December 31, 2005, the latter found out in April 2006 that the printer that it produced and delivered in February 2006 had a software error. Since this is a value-based information , the manufacturer may not take this into account in the 2005 balance sheet.
