Competition in Law and Practice ( wrp ) provides information on competition and trademark law with essays, expert opinions, comments, reports and court decisions . It is also the official organ of the headquarters for combating unfair competition . The WRP has been published monthly since 2006.

Every year more than 60 papers on current competition and trademark law topics are published, as well as articles on legislative proposals and changes to the law, European and international competition and trademark law. The WRP documents the case law of the highest court and the case law of the higher regional courts.

Authors, editors and editors

The authors are mostly professors and scientists, lawyers, judges as well as administrative and corporate lawyers who work in the field. The magazine has been published by Helmut Köhler since issue 1/2012 . With the 1/2020 issue, Prof. Dr. Christian Alexander.

The publishing director is attorney Torsten Kutschke. The editor-in-chief is attorney Uta Wichering; the departmental editing of the court rulings lies with attorney Thomas Gramespacher and the center for combating unfair competition (competition center).

A scientific advisory board was set up in issue 1/2013. This currently consists of the following personalities:

  • Wolfgang Büscher (judge at the 1st civil senate of the Federal Court of Justice and honorary professor at the University of Osnabrück)
  • Franz Hacker (presiding judge at the Federal Patent Court and honorary professor at the University of Augsburg)
  • Gangolf Hess (judge at the Berlin Court of Appeal)
  • Stefan Leible (Professor at the University of Bayreuth)
  • Reiner Münker (executive board member of the competition headquarters).
