Wide viewing angle

Wide Viewing Angle ( WVA ) characterizes modern liquid crystal screens (TFT displays) with little dependence on the viewing angle . The term, which comes from English , literally means “wide viewing angle” , but synonyms such as “low viewing angle dependency” or “large viewing angle range” are more common in German .

Wide Viewing Angle does not define any basic technical properties. Some manufacturers use the term as a keyword ( Engl. Buzzword ) to TFT displays with different capabilities in terms of improved viewing angles highlight.

PVA, MVA , IPS or S-IPS panels are mostly used in the corresponding TFT displays .
