Wolmar von Fahrensbach

Wolmar von Fahrensbach (* before 1500, † after 1554) feudal man and diplomat of the Teutonic Order , heir to Nelwa , Heimar and Nurms in Estonia .

Life

He came from the German-Baltic Fahrensbach family . He was the founder of the Polish family home. From his marriage to a von Kursell eleven sons are said to have emerged, of which only three, Wilhelm , Conrad and Jürgen , came of age. In addition, he had a natural son Tönnies from an unknown woman , who was already of age in 1528.

In 1549 he received his fiefdom in Hapsal . Twice he was sent to the Pope and the Emperor on behalf of the Order. In contradiction to this, he is also referred to as the authorized representative of the Empire and the Roman Curia at the Teutonic Order in Livonia .
