Yakoma (people)

The Yakoma are a people of the Central African Republic .

They speak the Bantu language Yakoma and are therefore part of the Bantu peoples .

The total of 160,000 Yakoma make up about 4% of the total population in the country. A total of around 10,000 Yakoma also live in the Congo .

André-Dieudonné Kolingba , President of the Central African Republic from 1979 to 1993, was also a Yakoma.
