Yarımkaya ( Turkish for half a rock ) is a village ( Köy ) in the Ovacık district of the Turkish province of Tunceli . In 2011 there were 21 people living in Yarımkaya.

In the place name registers of the Ministry of the Interior, the name was given in 1928 as Hemzik and in 1946 as Hamziuşağı. The village is located in the Mercan Valley. During the Dersim uprising it was affected by ethnic cleansing. Most of it has been abandoned and destroyed. In 2011 the village received electricity again and attempts are being made to persuade former residents to return.
