Yin Jifu
Yin Jifu ( 尹吉甫 ) was a Chinese statesman , military man , and man of letters during the Western Zhou Dynasty . He was minister of King Xuan of Zhou 周 宣王 (r. 828-782). In the book of songs ( Shijing ) he is said to have special literary and military skills. He led the campaign against the invasion of the Xianyun ( 獫 狁 / 猃 狁 , Xiǎnyǔn - "Huns"). Yin Boqi 尹伯奇 was his eldest son. Yin Jifu is associated with the authorship of Shijing by some Chinese researchers .
