The Yokosuka H5Y (allied code name: Cherry ) was a flying boat of the Imperial Japanese Navy . It was built from 1936 to 1941 and referred to as the "Marine Type 99" flying boat .

Yokosuka commissioned Dai-Juichi Kaigun Kokusho to carry out the production. The aircraft's performance was not particularly good, however. Therefore only 20 machines of this type were made.
