The Zeitschrift für das Fürsorgewesen (ZfF) is a specialist journal that deals with current social law issues.

In particular, legal and practical questions from the area of ​​social welfare, basic security for jobseekers, asylum seekers benefit law as well as child and youth welfare and related legal issues from the related areas of law, e.g. the area of ​​civil law, are dealt with.

The journal includes longer essays on fundamental questions of the aforementioned legal circles and overview articles on recent case law, rule set tables, etc. In addition, new laws and regulations are displayed and references to interesting literature with this context are given.

The target group are mainly employees in social welfare offices, job centers and youth welfare offices. The contributions are also of interest to other social law practitioners as well as to academia.

The magazine has been published since 1949. It was initially published by the social welfare office of the state capital of Hanover, today by the social department of the state capital of Hanover. The editor is Wolfgang Glatzel.

The ZfF appears on the 25th of each month in a printed edition of 1,750 copies. The widespread circulation is 1,650 pieces. A digital edition is not proven.
