Draw knife (utility drawing machine)

A draw knife is a tool for making a groove (manufacturing technology) in metals with a keyseating machine . According to the DIN 6885 standard for hub grooves, each bore diameter is assigned a specific groove width and depth. The standard pull knives are designed for these standardized dimensions.

There are also special draw knives for the production of special profiles such as B. splined hub profiles, internal gears, square, hexagon, radial grooves and tangential grooves.
