A cigarette holder (also cigarette holder , cigarette extension , cigarette mouthpiece ) is a sleeve between the cigarette and the smoker's mouth. The material can be metal, wood, plastic or cardboard. At the beginning of the 20th century, these sleeves came into fashion with Charleston dancers .
