A zone collector is a device for taking samples from bulk materials . It is inserted into the property, rotated and pulled out. As a result, a sample is taken and it can be determined how the quality of the goods is at different depths.

The zone collector is usually a hollow metal cylinder with an opening on the side. The rotating movement causes the bulk material to enter the cylinder and can be removed after pulling it out.

A zone collector is used, for example, for coffee beans or grain .

Versions

All-shift collector

These zone collectors have an open inner tube, with them an all-layer sample can be drawn. The samples of the individual target points are mixed, thus a cross-section through the entire product is obtained.

Multi-collector

The multi-zone collectors have separate collection chambers. Individual target point samples are taken, which can be analyzed separately from one another. In this way, the quality of the goods can be determined at various points.

UN collector

The UN collector has only one collection chamber. This chamber can be used to take a target point sample at a specific point.
