Additional service for the school

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The additional service for the school according to § 24a SGB II a. F. was introduced on August 1, 2009 and was intended to cover the costs of purchasing school materials that were not covered by the standard rate.

Pupils from general and vocational schools before the age of 25, who either themselves or their parents living in the household were entitled to unemployment benefit II on August 1 of each year, were entitled to the additional benefit for the school. If the pupils lived outside their parents' household, school fees were only paid with the consent of the local authority. The benefit amount was 100 euros and was paid annually in August.

On January 1, 2011, the additional benefit for school was abolished. It has been replaced by benefits for education and participation .
